autobiography - sample two

Growing Background
I was born in Tainan 17 years ago.  I am very fortunate to grow up in a harmonious family.  Because my parents are both optimists, my older sister and I have been taught to look on the bright side of life since childhood.  In addition, my parents also want us to be wise, so they continually buy many books for us.  What they teach and give really impresses and affects me a lot.  Undoubtedly, my family offers me precious family warmth and rich wisdom of life, which money can’t buy.

Reading And I
I have been enjoying reading since I was little.  For example, novels, poems, and prose are all among my favorite books, especially Chinese poetry and novels of contemporary writers.  Reading really provides me with pleasure, knowledge and relaxation.  When I was senior one, I started to try writing and contributed articles to my school’s magazine.  Fortunately, my works were selected!  The awards encourage me to go on writing and at the same time inspire my interests in literature.  Since then, I have made up my mind to study Chinese literary and decided to study in Chinese department in college.

Personality Traits
I hold an optimistic attitude toward life.  Besides, I also work hard to improve my ability to everything and knowledge to life.  Because of that, I have won the trust and liking of my teacher and classmates.  In my opinion, I succeed in keeping a balance between studying and playing.  As a result, I often get good grades in class and enjoy my happy life as well.  Thanks to the colorful process of my growth, I am capable of processing so many life experiences.

Future Plans
As a high school student who is under a lot of pressure, I still find time to read outside readings and write articles.  What I really want to be in the future is to become a writer.  I would like to share my thinking and emotions with people, and I am also fascinated by the graceful words and magical sentences of books.  The world of literary is so fantastic that I would like to spend my whole life studying and enjoying it.  As a result, to be admitted to your department will be a steeping stone as I march toward my ideal!
