Family Background
  My name is Ciou Chun-Jhu,born in a family with a harmonious atmosphere.  There are four members in my family.  My father, a worker in a factory, is a simple and honest person. He has always reminded me that "Honesty is the best policy" since I was a little girl. For example, I did something wrong as I was a little girl.  I was for fear of  being punished, so I lied to my father.  However, he knew the thing later, and he punished me by making me copy the words that "I can't lie forever" in order to prevent me from lying once and for all.  From this, it will be obvious that my father makes a point of being honest.  As far as he is concerned,"One lie makes many."  Hence, he made that decision.  From this experience, I deeply know how honest I should be.  My mother, an industrious employee at a company, often tells me "just try your best to do everything" . In view of this, I always think about that if I have done my best or not regardless of what I did.  Finally, my young brother, a innocent and dependent child, is a 8th grader in a junior high school. Whenever he encounters difficulties, he always turnes to me promptly.  Due to his dependence on me, improve me to be a patient and responsible person.  Being not rich at all, every member in my family is satisfied with the life we live.


School Life
  I studied at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School (NTCVS).  I am glad to have so many lovely classmates to learn and experience a lot of activities together.  They are so humorous and kind to me.  Because of them I feel it is interesting to go to school.  Although my academic performance was not very top, I still study hard with all my heart.  I always believe in the saying,"As you sow, so you reap";hence, I do my utmost in every aspect of my school life.  Take this thing for example; when I was just an 11th grader, I passed the preliminary test of the intermediate level of General English Proficiency Test (GEPT), including listening and reading.  And I promise myself that I will get the certificate of intermediate level.  In addition to that, I have passed the level 3 of the Test of English Ability Association.  In addition, I also passed the required qualification examination of class C skill category of Computer Software Application and Techficiency Quotient Certification of Word 2007 Professional by Computer Skills Foundation.

  Here in NTCVS, not only have I enhanced my English ability, but I have also broadened my horizons.  By reading various English articles, I am able to explore everything about the world and learn all kinds of knowledge.  For instance, now I have better understanding of cultures and histories of individual countries.  Apart from reinforcing my English ability, I also learned a lot from serving as a class cadre member.  I have ever served as vice discipline section chief , vice sanitarian in my class.  By being in charge of these positions, I got lots of precious experiences that leading a class was not easy, but I was happy I could learn so much from serving for my class.  After taking this job, I found that I became more and more responsible.  I was very delight that I could help my classmates.

Self-evaluation
  I am a zealous and easy-going girl.   Due to being enthusiastic about helping people by nature, I take delight to come to one’s aid.  I give someone a hand spontaneously, whenever I come cross those who are in need.  Thanks to the advantage, I have ever won the award, which represented I help with zest in my elementary school days.
Plus, I usually received numerous of thanks cards from my fellow students as I was a junior high student.  I am pleased with my good deeds.   I deeply believe in that "deeds are better than words" when people need help.  I, all the time, prefer taking action to uttering a word.  In addition, I am frugal and like to deposit regular.
Consequently, I not only live a frugal existence, avoiding all luxuries and deposit periodically.    As to my interest, listening to music is necessity in my daily life.  I regard music as a cordial as something annoy me.  What's more, music is a nutrition, preventing me from being in a bad mood.  I like to go jogging as well, which not only urge me develop a strong body but improve my endurance and perseverance.  Since, only by endurance and perseverance can I go through every difficulty I encounter in my life.

Future Perspectives
  I hope I can be admitted to National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology.  There, I can make my English ability better, especially in my oral speaking skill due to the visit to your school impressed on me profoundly.   I hope I can speak English fluently and naturally whenever I face those who use English as their tongue.  Hence, I want to take the courses about training students' oral speaking skill.  I believe the excellent faculty and the perfect facilities in your school will help me sharp my English ability a lot, so I eager  to be admitted to your school. Most importnatly, to fulfill my dream to be a professional interpreter, I will equip myself with professional English skills during the four year in college. 

Conclusion
  In the future, I hope I can polish my foreign languages ability in every aspect and broaden my horizon toward the world.
