Family Background
  My name is Ciou Chun-Jhu,born in a family with a harmonious atmosphere.  There are four members in my family.  My father, a worker in a factory, is a simple and honest person. He has always reminded me that "Honesty is the best policy" since I was a little girl. For example, I did something wrong as I was a little girl.  I was for fear of  being punished, so I lied to my father.  However, he knew the thing later, and he punished me by making me copy the words that "I can't lie forever" in order to prevent me from lying once and for all.  From this, it will be obvious that my father makes a point of being honest.  As far as he is concerned,"One lie makes many."  Hence, he made that decision.  From this experience, I deeply know how honest I should be.  My mother, an industrious employee at a company, often tells me "just try your best to do everything" . In view of this, I always think about that if I have done my best or not regardless of what I did.  Finally, my young brother, a innocent and dependent child, is a 8th grader in a junior high school. Whenever he encounters difficulties, he always turnes to me promptly.  Due to his dependence on me, improve me to be a patient and responsible person.  Being not rich at all, every member in my family is satisfied with the life we live.


School Life
  I studied at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School (NTCVS).  I am glad to have so many lovely classmates to learn and experience a lot of activities together.  They are so humorous and kind to me.  Because of them I feel it is interesting to go to school.  Although my academic performance was not very top, I still study hard with all my heart.  I always believe in the saying,"As you sow, so you reap";hence, I do my utmost in every aspect of my school life.  Take this thing for example; when I was just an 11th grader, I passed the preliminary test of the intermediate level of General English Proficiency Test (GEPT), including listening and reading.  And I promise myself that I will get the certificate of intermediate level.  In addition to that, I have passed the level 3 of the Test of English Ability Association.  In addition, I also passed the required qualification examination of class C skill category of Computer Software Application and Techficiency Quotient Certification of Word 2007 Professional by Computer Skills Foundation.

  Here in NTCVS, not only have I enhanced my English ability, but I have also broadened my horizons.  By reading various English articles, I am able to explore everything about the world and learn all kinds of knowledge.  For instance, now I have better understanding of cultures and histories of individual countries.  Apart from reinforcing my English ability, I also learned a lot from serving as a class cadre member.  I have ever served as vice discipline section chief , vice sanitarian in my class.  By being in charge of these positions, I got lots of precious experiences that leading a class was not easy, but I was happy I could learn so much from serving for my class.  After taking this job, I found that I became more and more responsible.  I was very delight that I could help my classmates.

  My name is Fang. I am now 17 years old. I have an English name called Matthew. I am studying in a private high school. There are five people in my family officer and my mother is a housewife. Both of my younger brother and sister are studying in junior high school. You might think that my family is a traditional and stern one because of my father. However, it’s the opposite. My father is an open-minded person full of sense of humor. I must say I am lucky to have such a happy family.

My father certainly have great influence on me, I always look up to him. His passion and dedication to his job and family are the best things us. He never forces us to do anything we don’t like. He gives us freedom of choice. That’s why I can join so many school activities and have the chance to develop my hobbies.

I have been very active. I am one of the computer freaks who just can’t take my eyes away from the computer screen. My friends know I am good in computer, so as their computers have troubles, they would come to me. I am also a picture in school baseball team. Our team has won many, many matches thus we gained an honorable title of ”unbeatable” team “I believe this is resulted from our constant practice, hard work and our strong team spirit.

Although computer and baseball take up most of my leisure time, I manage to use some spare time to play electronic guitar in a band. I use computer to make a lot of our songs into MIDI flies and send them forward to many friends. My friends love them and think it’s awesome. To be able to combine my knowledge of computer and music is my proudest thing. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t neglect my study.   In the high crime rate society, the punishments become crucial, and the issue whether the death penalty should be abolished or not is necessary to be discussed.  Although many people insist that death penalty ought to be abolished, I strongly believe that the punishment needs to be reserved because the penalty would deter people from committing crimes.  Some people think it harsh to serve a life in prison.  Nevertheless, the counterargument is that it makes criminals pay the ultimate price and sufferers could be appeased. In my opinion, this is the only way that the victims could be gratified.  In addition, no one can argue against the fact that if the penalty was reserved, the order in the society would be more peaceful because it rids society of menaces.  It is for all the above-mentioned reasons and more that I believe the death penalty should be reserved.

  There is a man called Michael who is a professional athlete had won many prizes in various sports competitions.  However, “Accidents will happen.”  And he met with misfortune as he was on the peak of his athletic career – a car accident.

One day, he took a walk on the road. Suddenly, an uncontrollable lorry rushed toward him as fast as a rocket so that he had no time to dodge. At the moment, it hit him and his leg was trapped under the lorry.  To our disgust is that the driver abandoned him and ran away, and he was delay to send to the hospital.  What's worse, during an operation, the doctor imparted the situation to him that he must have amputated his leg which was focal necrosis; otherwise, it would cause other problems.  Based on that, all he could do was assent to the operation.  To our relief, he didn’t give up his athletic career and, consequently, he did his best to keep doing rehabilitation.

As the proverb goes, “The God helps those who help themselves.”  He, eventually, recovered after striving without cease to rehabilitation.  By virtue of his efforts, he beat all of the rivals and won first place at the Paralympics.

  According to the two resumes from people applying for being an English instructor, I have to choose the best one for our school.  After pondering for a long time, I selected Debra Fines, who comes from Philadelphia.  There are some comparisons between them.  First of all, in educational status, Debra Fines is an erudite who had ever studied for degrees of BA English, MA English, and PhD Linguistics; however, Lynn Whitnall had ever just studied a degree of BA Spanish. Next, in employment experience aspect, Debra Fines is more veteran than Lynn Whitnall.  In the last place, though Lynn Whitnall is fluent in Spanish, French, Japanese, I just would like to hire a person, who is expert in English.  As the mention above, it is why I employ Debra Fines instead of Lynn Whitnall.

 When it comes to popular entertainers on the music scene in Taiwan,  Jay Chou is one of them , and Lee Hom Wang is too.  Lee Home Wang and Jay Chou are alike in many ways.  For example, Lee Hom Wang is a singer, so is Jay Chou.  Also, Lee Hom Wang is clever at playing the piano;similarly, Jay Chou is as well.  In addition, not only is Lee Hom Wang a director, but Jay Chou is. For instance, Love In Disguise and Secret are their representatives respectively.  Last but not the least, both of them are excellent actors.  I think they are so gifted and versatile that they can stand firm in their field and comparing with each other.

To begin with, location is one of the crucial factors.  In fact, the music store is on a small side street just outside of town and, moreover, there is a shopping center that has two large music stores just far from 3 miles away.  On the other hand, the music type sold in a music store is also a key.  For example, most of the residents in the region mainly are over age 40;thus, both hip-hop and rock are the last types sold well─ maybe country music is an alternative.  Furthermore, the business times is from 1 to 5 p.m. every day except weekend.  Most important of all, checks and credit cards are not accessible there, which is inconvenient for people in nowadays advanced society.  In brief, as long as Michael Williams improve those faults above, I assure him that his music store will be a hit.
